Why are you wasting system resources and slowing things down by trying to invoke the uploader service when I press printscreen, even though I have it configured in a way that uploads are not allowed? (Stop trying to do things that don't need to be done and you'll speed things up, and you'll avoid errors with services that shouldn't even be invoked in the scenario. Perhaps just as important as the question "Why does it keep crashing when I hit printscreen?" is the question "Why the hell is Snagit trying to invoke the uploader service even though I have no sharing options configured and 'allow sharing to snagit' is disabled?"Ī more paranoid user would ask "why are you spying on me?" but my question is: Maybe QA couldn't imagine why anyone would ever uncheck that box? (I'd attach a screenshot showing it's disabled, but SnagIt can't capture its own settings dialogs. I can't help but wonder if that checkbox has even been tested in that state. On the "Advanced" tab of SnagIt Editor Preferences, "Allow sharing to SnagIt" is unchecked / not enabled. I tried the 'manually remove' everything and reinstalled Snagit but to no prevail. Then i minimize to taskbar and after a while (for example 30-60 min.) if i hit the print screen button PC freezes snagit also freezes. Snagit 2019 keeps crashing (on startup) So I just upgraded to macOS Monterey (12.3.1) and Snagit 2019 wont start anymore (bounces a couple times and thats it). I manually kill the Snagit and SnagitEditor processes from task manager. I've touched nothing in the "View -> Share" dialog of the app, or in the "Share" tab of the SnagIt Editor Preferences. When I hit 'Print Screen' button Snagit first hangs makes my PC slow then crashes. I have never configured any sharing or uploading. Ive searched around to find a way to unsuspend the app, including clean booting and re-installing the program, however the status is still the same and the program crashes. Text: Failed to find endpoint in nfig file.Ĭ:\ProgramData\TechSmith\Uploader\nfigĪll I did was hit printscreen. Fix suspended app crashing There is an app that I try to run, however it keeps crashing on me, when I look at the status in Task manager, it says 'Suspended'. Service has started with no default endpoint Here are the crumbs it leaves in Event Viewer: Same problem here, Windows 10.0 (64) Build 18363 (1909 with all currently-available updates installed.) I've seen this for the last few updates, and the problem remains in Snagit 2020. I have to uninstall and revert to the original version 2022.0.0. Kevinc07 J20:47 The latest Snagit 2022 update does not open after installing on Windows 11. Choose ‘More details’ at the bottom of Task Manager to expand Task Manager. Close the Registry Editor, and open Snagit. Seemds to have something to do with the uploader service. Use CTRL-ALT-DEL and choose to open the Task Manager. Yes, I've looked at the Techsmith event files.
